THE STORY BEHIND THE PRODUCT

Artisan Organization: Gold Silk Association

Country: Silk Road

"Gold Silk has a history of 130 years of successful production of silk materials and carpets. From generation to generation, advanced experience and accumulated skills in the field of sericulture have been passed on. The company exclusively uses natural silk and cotton. The silk used is produced entirely in-house, starting from the silkworm stage.

"Founder Javokhir explains, 'Our group is inspired by the process of work that our ancestors did. Our target is to share with people all over the world the feeling that our traditional fabrics give us.'

"Gold Silk Company has been producing national satin and adras (ikat) fabrics for three generations. Throughout its more than 130 years of operation, the company has developed and produced over 1000 products that meet international standards." "
