"We are Artsakh Carpet, a workshop that has its roots deep in the cultural heritage of Artsakh. Founded in 2013, we began our journey in the heart of Artsakh, focusing on the traditional craft of handmade carpets. Despite the challenges and disruptions brought by the conflict, including the forced displacement of many of our master artisans, we continue to uphold the values and traditions of our craft.

"We specialize in the creation of exquisite handmade carpets and rugs, an art form that has been passed down through generations of Armenian artisans. Every piece we produce is a tribute to the rich cultural heritage of our homeland. We use time-honored techniques, combining traditional patterns with modern designs to create carpets that not only tell a story of our past but also fit beautifully into today’s homes.

"As our workshop has grown, we’ve expanded beyond carpets and rugs. We now create a wide variety of handmade products, including bags, scarves, hats, socks, and clothing. Each product is crafted with the same attention to detail and love for our traditions that we put into our carpets.

"Our artisans, many of whom have been displaced due to the conflict in Artsakh, are now scattered across different regions of Armenia. Despite their circumstances, their dedication to their craft has never wavered. While it’s difficult to bring all of our artisans together under one roof as we once did in Artsakh, many of them continue to work from their homes. About ten of our artisans currently reside in Yerevan and are able to work together in our Yerevan-based workshop. The others, though separated by distance, continue to work as home-based artisans, keeping the craft alive in their own homes.

"Our ultimate dream is to one day reunite all of our artisans in a single workshop, where we can work together once again. For now, we are grateful for the opportunity to continue creating, no matter where we are. Each artisan plays a vital role in the continuation of this craft, and through our work, we not only preserve the ancient traditions of carpet-making but also support families and communities who have been affected by displacement.

"The materials we use are of the highest quality, reflecting our commitment to craftsmanship and sustainability. Each carpet is meticulously crafted by hand, using natural materials such as wool, cotton, and eco-friendly dyes. This not only ensures the longevity of our products but also means they retain their vibrant colors and durability even after years of use. We believe in creating items that stand the test of time, both in terms of design and quality.

Through our carpets and other handmade products, we aim to share a piece of our culture with the world, while providing meaningful work for artisans who have faced so much hardship.
