"I am Sergey Chobanyan, born in 1960, and my life’s journey has been one of creativity, resilience, and transformation. My background is in technical education, and for many years I had the privilege of working at the renowned Hayfilm film studio, where I contributed to the world of cinema—a field that captivated me with its artistry and technical complexity. However, life took an unexpected turn following a severe car accident that changed the course of my career and my life. The accident caused me to lose my arm, forcing me to leave behind the film industry that I had been so passionate about.

"After the accident, I had to find a new way to express my creativity and continue contributing in a meaningful way. That is when I discovered the world of jewelry-making, particularly working with stones. It became a form of therapy and a new way to channel my artistic energy. My wife and I began traveling to different regions of Armenia, collecting stones, with a special focus on obsidian—a volcanic glass that has a deep history and significance in Armenian culture.

"Obsidian, known for its dark, striking beauty, quickly became my material of choice. Its natural properties and connection to the earth resonated with me, and I began crafting unique pieces of jewelry that reflect both the rugged beauty of nature and the resilience of the human spirit. Every piece I create tells a story—of survival, of transformation, and of the powerful connection between humans and the natural world.

"What started as a personal journey of healing has now become my profession and passion. I take great pride in handcrafting each piece of jewelry, ensuring that it carries both aesthetic beauty and deep meaning.
