THE STORY BEHIND THE PRODUCT

Artisan Organization: Vahe Mnacakanyan

Country: Armenia

"My name is Vahe Mnacakanyan and I was born in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. My journey in the world of art began when I enrolled in art school from 1992 to 1997. Following that, I pursued my passion for design by attending University from 1997 to 2003.

"My deep affection for working with wood is a heritage passed down from my father, a skilled woodcarver in the realm of folk craftsmanship. I started carving wood during my school days, and as I grew into a professional artist, I began to cultivate my distinct style, creating fresh imagery that allowed me to convey my connection to nature and the animal kingdom.

"This journey led to the birth of my wooden creations, a medium through which I combine my love for nature, my appreciation of beauty, and my unwavering desire to create.""
