THE STORY BEHIND THE PRODUCT
Artisan Organization: Hayk Amirkhanyan
Country: Armenia
"I am Hayk Amirkhanyan, and I was born in 1989, in Etchmiadzin, Armenia. I've been crafting wooden items since I was a child, a skill that has been passed down through generations in my family. It all began with my grandfather, and my father further honed this craft, eventually passing it down to me.
As I grew up, I couldn't help but be fascinated by the intricate art of woodworking that I saw around me. I started learning and working alongside my father at a young age, absorbing the knowledge and skills that had been cultivated in my family for generations.
Today, my father and I continue to work side by side in our workshop, where we specialize in woodworking and create a wide range of beautiful wooden items. It's a tradition that has bound our family together, and I'm proud to carry it forward into the future.
I just want to express my gratitude to Novica because it enables me to promote Armenian art around the world. Every community across the globe holds its own unique traditions and stories, and I cherish the opportunity to share them.""
