THE STORY BEHIND THE PRODUCT

Artisan Organization: Aram Danielyan

Country: Armenia

"My name is Aram Danielyan, and I hail from the beautiful city of Yerevan, Armenia. Sculpting copper is not just a profession for me—it's a passion that runs deep in my veins. I come from a long line of artisans, and this craft has been a cherished family tradition for generations. My father, a master sculptor himself, passed down his knowledge and skills to me, and I am honored to carry on his legacy.

"For me, sculpting is more than just shaping metal—it's a form of self-expression, a way to channel my thoughts and emotions into tangible works of art. I strive to create pieces that resonate with people on a profound level, evoking emotions and sparking connections that transcend language and culture.

"Like many others in Armenia, I faced numerous challenges during the tumultuous events of 2020, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the war. Despite the hardships, I remained steadfast in my dedication to my craft, finding solace and strength in my work.

"All my sculptures are crafted using copper, a material that I source from various places. Each piece tells a story, inspired by the beauty of life itself. Whether it's the graceful curves of nature or the resilience of the human spirit, I find inspiration all around me.

"I pour my heart and soul into every sculpture, often working late into the night whenever I find a moment of free time. For me, honing my craft is not just a job—it's a lifelong journey of self-improvement and discovery. And in this pursuit, I find my greatest privilege.""
