THE STORY BEHIND THE PRODUCT
Artisan Organization: Kodir Egamov
Country: Silk Road
"My name is Kodir Egamov and I am married with children. As a husband and father, love and harmony will always reign in my house. I want my children to be healthy, educated, honest, and kind people. My love for drawing came from my mother, and my parents taught me to be a honest, kind, and hardworking individual for which I am very grateful. They helped me become who I am today.
"When you love your work, inspiration comes by itself. In my work, I mainly use breeze wood, leaf, pine, walnut, and oak. When creating, I will make a few sketches, then I turn them on a lathe by hand, and finish by painting the wooden figures. All work is done completely by hand and this is a very lengthy process. It is not empty chatter that leads a person to the intended goal, but patience and hard work.
"When you start to follow your dreams, difficulties always arise. You must believe in your undertaking, first of all, your faith is at the forefront, if there is no faith, then you will not succeed, this spark of fire leads you through all the difficulties and hardships to your dream. Believe in yourself and do not give up.""
