This handcast bowl is made with a special 4 metal alloy that produces a beautiful harmonic resonance when rung. Each bowl is hand tuned and has a unique sonic voice print. The sonic bath of a meditation bowl is conducive to yoga, meditation, relaxation and other restorative modalities.

The gift box is made with sustainably harvested Himalayan lokta paper on top of a recycled paper board. Inside the 3.5 inch square box you'll find a cushion, striker and 3 inch diameter bowl along with instructions for care and how to use the bowl for a simple meditation.

The Story Behind the Product

The Gu-Chu-Sum Movement

Tibet

These authentic meditation bowls are made by The Gu-Chu-Sum (9-10-3) Movement of Tibet, established in 1991 and based in Dharamsala, India. Gu-Chu-Sum was first organized by ex-political prisoners from the Tibetan freedom movement; monks, nuns and lay people who had escaped from Tibet due to political persecution. Its purpose is to provide employment and support to Tibetan refugees needing help in India, and to educate about human rights abuses in Tibet.

A beautiful way to start and end the day

I absolutely love this meditation bowl. It has a beautiful tone, and I love having a sound bath at the beginning of my day, and then at sunset. My dogs even love it!!!
