Description

Rethinking one of their popular tire bags, Indian craftspeople used lots of misprinted leather jeans labels to create this functional bag. The flap closure is secured by Velcro. Lined in black nylon fabric, the inside has a fabric pocket, cell phone pocket and a few pen pockets. Dense cotton fabric strap adjusts to up to 50 inches long. The bag is 13 by 12 inches with a 4-inch side gusset.

This artisan group is located in the impoverished city of New Delhi. They are making a huge impact by employing workers at fair wages and offering safe, clean working conditions. They pay above the government issued minimum wage. Workers enjoy tea breaks each day and weekly prayer, as per tradition. Beauer produces a wide array of products using new and upcycled materials. Their specialty is home and handbags. Their workers are trained in macramé, handbag, and accessory crafts work. Examples of upcycled material that you might find in their products include firehose, tire, and leather label patches from jeans. By purchasing a Beauer product, you will be helping some of India's poorest people, and its environment."

Incredible Quality & Style!

I found this adorable bag by "accident" while clicking around the GlobeIn site. I ordered it and was more than pleasantly surprised. I am VERY impressed with the quality of the craftsmanship. It is roomy, colorful, and bold. The strap is well made, and will extend so that this bag can be worn as a crossbody easily. I'm 5'10" and it can easily accommodate me with 12" to spare. It's large enough for my laptop and padded so I would be comfortable using to as a laptop or tablet bag. It has inner pockets. I just can't say enough nice things about this bag! It's one of my favorite GlobeIn products!
