THE STORY BEHIND THE PRODUCT

Artisan Organization: Angel Castellanos

Country: Central America

"My name is Ángel Castellano Gómez. I was born in Bogotá, Colombia in 1973, and I have lived in Costa Rica for 30 years. I lived with my family and learned this beautiful art from my father. Since I was little I saw him make his works in glass, and it became a way of life; now I teach my son.

"Currently I have been practicing this art for 35 years and I have my own business. I am mainly inspired by the nature of Costa Rica. I love being able to work every day on something that I love and see satisfied clients. I use quality raw materials such as borosilicate glass imported from Costa Rica and tools such as metal tweezers. Everything is made by hand and with great dedication." "
