"I'm Mamikon Varderesyan, born in Gyumri. My educational journey began in Gyumri Vocational State School, specializing in 'stone and artistic processing of wood'. Simultaneously, my passion for fine arts led me to join the Zhan and Albert Poghosyan art school's fine arts department in 2004.
"After a brief hiatus for military service from 2009 to 2011, I resumed my academic pursuits and gained admission to the Department of Applied Arts at M. Nalbandian State University in Gyumri. Following this, I pursued a master's degree in Painting from 2015 to 2017. Presently, I work as an art teacher at Real School and oversee the activities of the school in Gyumri.
"Art is at the core of my life. I dedicate most of my day to creative endeavors, particularly painting. I have a special fondness for creating studies, often drawing inspiration from the breathtaking landscapes of Armenia. During my free time, I indulge in bicycle rides and hiking. My interests extend to national culture, specifically traditional Armenian dances. Since 2015, I've been an active member of the Hrayr traditional dance group, actively participating in their performances.
"In collaboration with my brother, artist Karlen Varderesyan, I co-founded the "Arvestanost" brand in 2015. Together with fellow artisans, we have crafted numerous handicrafts, works of art, and engaged in "street art" projects. To this day, I continue to produce handmade items, with a particular focus on portraying the essence of Gyumri, emphasizing its colors, nature, and the cultural richness of Armenia.""
