Victor and Veronica Bangcal* are the artisans behind the Palm Leaf Capiz Coasters located in the Tropical Box! When Victor and Veronica got married, they decided to start their own small business and train other artisans. They are part of the Krizlyn Handicrafts workshop in the Philippines.

They both exhibit a strong sense of empathy and ensure that everyone is paid fairly and offer assistance in times of need. Veronica is now happily leading her life and able to meet her financial basic needs and pay medical expenses.

Since Victor and Veronica are in their senior years, they hope to pass on Capiz-making to other family members. They are excited to see their granddaughter developing an interest in the craft, and hope that someday, she would carry the torch and continue to grow their small family business as a Fair Trade producer.
