The land surrounding the ancient city of Hebron is rich with sand and clay, making it no wonder that glassware and ceramics are such prevalent handicrafts of the region. Hebron is one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world, with archeological finds dating back some 5,000 years.
To make this piece, recycled bottles are smashed into pieces and melted in high temperature ovens. In Phoenician glass blowing, artisans add substances to the molten glass, creating a range of colors within each piece. Working with this process takes an especially skilled hand, and is reserved for the true masters of the art.
I ordered four. They're smaller then I thought but I’m ok with that. I’d said use them more for an upscale after dinner drink. Or an upscale shot glass. Not appropriate for a cordial, IMO, but to each their own. Just enjoy them as they are stunning and are a table showpiece for sure. Your companies definitely gonna be jealous. Cheers!
Love this glassware, so substantial
The wine glasses are beautiful and of course the craftsmanship is amazing. Just like all the other glassware I’ve purchase here. However, Globein really need need to put better descriptions or pictures. These glasses are so small I can’t see how they hold more than an ounce of liquid. Definitely more for display than use as a wine glass. Future descriptions need to indicate the number of ounces held not just how tall the glass is.
Perfect for the perfect cocktail
